Government agencies and employees at all levels use General Aviation (GA) to perform their functions for the U.S. citizenry. Routine uses include law enforcement, border patrol, transportation, environmental protection, search and rescue, and aerial surveys to support land use planning.
Many government employees use their own skills as pilots, and their own small airplanes to help in the completion of their work.
